5 SEO Tools, Tips & Tricks

Search engine optimization might seem hard to understand at first, but we’re trying to make it easier for you. Here are 5 SEO tips and tricks that are easy to implement, to get you started:

1. Find good keywords using SEO tools

Since SEO is all about positively influencing the search engine algorithm, it’s important to understand how difficult it is to rank for a specific keyword. You can use the free tool SEM Rush to find current and potential keywords. Google keyword planner is also a great source for figuring keywords for your website or content. I personally recommend Ahrefs to find the best possible keywords. While it is paid, there’s a cheaper trial version that lasts a week.

2. Use keywords in specific parts of your webpage

This process is also known as on-page SEO. This can be done by improving:

a) Page Title
b) Meta description
c) URL
d) Text to links to pages within your site
e) Meta tags

Also, make sure that the keywords you’ve chosen are relevant to your content and web page.

3. Use an SEO analytics tool to monitor progress

Tools like Google Analytics will help you keep tabs on the quantity of traffic that reaches your website. This is a good way to figure out if your content plan is working, or you’ve chosen the right keywords to optimize your website

4. Choose images that are easy to share and small in size

In a country like India, where connectivity to the internet is still growing, understand that a lot of your customers may not have access to the fastest internet connections. Optimize the images on your web pages to ensure that pages load quickly as this is a factor in ranking higher on the Search Engine Results Page (SERP). Programs like Photoshop (paid) or IrfanView (free) will let you resize HD pictures to smaller sizes that load faster. Since WhatsApp is widely used in India, make sure your images are easily shareable and watermarked by your company brand logo.

5. Have influencers promote your products or services

Influencer marketing is very common amongst many industries. When you use an influencer who already has a loyal following of thousands of people to promote your product, you don’t need to build trust with customers from scratch. If you don’t have the budget for an influencer, many blogs do reviews in exchange for free products or services.
